Heritage and know-how

Based in the heart of French-speaking Switzerland, in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, our family-owned company combines Swiss manufacturing, artisanal craftsmanship and technical innovation to meet the highest standards.

For nearly 80 years, MH Décors has embodied the excellence of Swiss fabrication. Founded by Maurice Herzog, the company began as a small decoration workshop dedicated to the watchmaking industry, before expanding its expertise to serve other luxury and retail sectors, both in Switzerland and internationally.

1947 — 1993

Founding of Maurice Herzog Atelier de Décoration in Lausanne. The company specializes in decor for Swiss watchmakers, working with clients such as Longines, Lémania, Breitling, Juvenia, Cyma and IWC.

1950

First participation in the Swiss Watch Fair in Basel (Baselworld), with exhibition stands and window displays for Ulysse Nardin and Ebel.

1955

Relocation to larger premises in Malley to support growing activity and a team of 15 employees.

1968

By then the leading decor supplier for Tissot, the company opens branches in France and Germany, and expands its production facilities in Renens.

1972

Omega entrusts MH Décors with global management of its displays, allowing the team to grow to 28 people.

1973 — 1977

Michel Herzog, eldest son of Maurice, joins the company. Activities diversify toward new sectors and brands, including Caran d'Ache and beauty products, during the global recession.

1980

Maurice Herzog retires and appoints Michel as managing director. The company becomes MH Décors SA and attracts new clients such as De Beers, the world’s leading diamond brand. Participation in exhibitions across Europe, Asia, Mexico, the US and India.

1988

Construction of the current headquarters in Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, doubling production capacity and welcoming a team of around 40 employees.

1991

MH Décors acquires and integrates Linéart, a competitor, expanding its prestigious client portfolio to include Vacheron Constantin, TAG Heuer and Eterna.

2001

Design and production of exhibition stands (decor, displays, animations) for several brands at the SIHH in Geneva — many of which still collaborate today at Watches & Wonders.

2004 — 2009

Vincent, Florent and Adèle Herzog, the children of Michel, join the company — marking the involvement of the third generation.

2023

Michel Herzog hands over the company’s management to his children, joined by Tony Giddey.

2024

Integration of Rolf Zweifel’s acrylic glass embedment workshop into MH Décors.

Today, MH Décors is a key player in boutique design and bespoke decor creation, with recognized expertise in watchmaking, luxury and beyond.

Remaining true to its values, MH Décors continues to combine artisanal tradition and technical innovation, supported by a team of around forty employees and led by the third generation of the Herzog family, Adèle and Florent, alongside Tony Giddey.
